I love this day! I have friends who get dressed first thing in the morning EVERY day but I'm one who appreciates a good ole' lazy day!!! PJ's 'til noon type of girl! And today is the perfect day! Joey is gone to write business out of town. The kids are playing and I'm cleaning the house. NO good reason to get all dressed up today!
So we ate breakfast when we all woke around 8:45 am. Eli and I eat fruit loops side by side each morning while S has plain chocolate chip waffles from the mircrowave. After eating I cleaned the dishes and reminded Eli that he needs to wipe up the puddles of milk that he spilled in the leather barstool and on the table. He replies, "mom, I'm not a girl". Of course, I told him how disrespectful the comment was, but realize that I have raised him with old fashioned standards. I know that he has crossed a line with this comment which reaps consequences. At the same time I want him to value a wife and mother who chooses to put her family as her #1 priority. So the comment brings a smile to my face.
I've started working full time now. I love it! But the kids have soccer and baseball which take up all of our time and the house work has been forgotten. Life is too good to worry about little things like that. #don'tsweatthesmallstuff So today is the day my washing machine will run nonstop. I'm wearing a new nike outfit and I get the bleach pen out to save one of Joey's old white shirts. NOT a great idea. Bleach pen splatters and new nike shirt is thrown into the machine as quickly as possible to be saved. PLEASE don't let there be bleach spots on my favorite nike shirt.... please!
The kids have new apps on their ipods so they are happy campers. They play and read books and play on their ipods in between. Sophie is such an amazing artist. From day 1 she could pick up a crayon and make a recognizable image. I never knew this was so unusual until I compared her to other little ones her age. Yesterday I found a Playdough Play-along App. The kids love it! They've spent hours creating little things with all of the playdough that they have. We took pics and sent them to show Daddy.
Now Dax, our "third child by choice", has arrived to play. So I uploaded all of the apps onto my iphone so he could play too. They all three locked themselves in my room and are laying on the bed playing their separate phones side by side. So fun! Little do they know my laundry piles are in my bathroom so I'll be busting up the party soon.
Kit just brought Mc Donald's kids meals by and the kids enjoyed their Happy Meals! Eli's favorite restraunt is Mc Donald's b/c of their nuggets. After lunch the ipods need to be charged so they are headed to the clean playroom. sigh. playrooms aren't supposed to be clean.
